Money comes and goes, but good sex is hard to forget...

When Sarai Emery wakes up after a month in a coma, all she wants to do is eat real food, gossip with her best friend Nat, see her twin brother Savion, and crawl into bed with her man, Damian. But her memory is 10 months behind, and her life went from fabulous to scandalous in the time she forgot. Thanks to a gunshot wound from her cheating ex-boyfriend, Damian she wasn’t around when her twin brother killed himself and she has no clue that “high class” prostitution was her way of making ends meet.

Meanwhile, Sarai’s new and forgotten love Tremel “Mel” Colton vows to stay by her side. He can’t wait to remind her of the long, steamy nights she spent in his arms. But, just as lust and love start to blossom, Mel learns a few secrets from Sarai’s past that may end any chance of them being together.

Sarai has no idea how much pain and trouble she has gotten herself into, but if new friends that may include old enemies have anything to say about it, she will never forget.

In this seductive sequel to her sizzling debut novel, Going Broke, Trista Russell turns down the sheets and turns up the heat in a story about one woman learning that money can’t buy everything, but it sure can help.

Praise & Reviews

"I read Dead Broke before reading Going Broke first, and shockingly reading them out of order didn’t spoil anything for me, because I just finished Going Broke and it was still full of surprises. In Dead Broke, I liked the fact that Tremel and Sarai took turns telling the story, so I could see what was really going on in both of their lives. Tremel? Where can I find this man? Sarai?!?! In the beginning I felt like Sarai would have too much going on: the coma, the amnesia, the torrid sex life, the secrets, etc… but Trista took those things and wrote another great story around it. Great job!" ~Tiffany, CA.

"I’m still waiting to be disappointed. I know its coming. All of her books can’t keep being this good. Dead Broke was another winner. It picked up right where Going Broke left off and took on a life of its own. It was a treat to see the characters interact again. Sarai is back up to keeping secrets and Tremel moves on with his life, but one thing remains and that is when two people are meant for each other any mountain in the way will be moved. Trista Russell keeps getting better and better." ~Justine, NY

Author Bio

I was raised on the tiny island of Bimini in the Bahamas. I discovered my passion for writing in the third grade when I scribbled the infamous “do you like me check yes or no” note and passed it to a boy in my class. Not only did he select no, he also passed it around the class for all to see. Well, that night I wrote a few choice words about him and those expressions turned into a poem and the writer within me was watered. I realized that I could compose words and have them do whatever I wanted and or needed them to.

Picking up a pencil was no longer for the satisfaction of the nuns at Holy Name Catholic School, I fell in love with what words did to and for me. Along with my parents I moved to South Florida while in middle school and became a product of the Miami-Dade County Public School System where I attended Campbell Drive Middle, Homestead Senior High and later Miami Dade College where I majored in English Literature / English Education. I moved from Miami to Chicago in the summer of 2005.
